The film Conscious Light offers a glimpse into the remarkable life and enlightened teachings of the spiritual master, Avatar Adi Da Samraj, and his work to establish a way of ultimate spiritual realisation for all.
It draws on extensive archival film, photography, and audio recordings, as well as interviews with students who lived with Avatar Adi Da and continue to practice the way he revealed.
The screenings will include time for discussion with long-time students of Avatar Adi Da.

His Divine Presence Avatar Adi Da Samraj (1939–2008) devoted his life to revealing and establishing the means for human beings to discover the ultimate nature of reality, which he calls Conscious Light, or the “Bright”. He teaches that Conscious Light is the “prior” condition of every thing and every one, and the foundation of true happiness and freedom.
Avatar Adi Da's offering is not just a philosophy or a system of techniques, but it is, rather, the literal transmission of Conscious Light. The designation “Avatar” has been used in some spiritual traditions to refer to a break through of the Divine into human time—not merely the appearance of an individual who has attained some degree of Enlightenment by spiritual effort, or even a reincarnating Master, but a direct appearance in the world of the One Supreme Reality. The lifetime of Avatar Adi Da was, remarkably, of this nature. Throughout his life he tangibly manifested his Divine Transcendental Spiritual Presence, in order that his Blessing could be perpetually alive and received by all.
During his lifetime Avatar Adi Da created a new spiritual way, known as the Reality-Way of Adidam, that accounts for the entire process of human growth and Realisation. And he authored more than seventy books of spiritual, social, and practical wisdom—books that offer a radically new understanding of the human condition and reality altogether. His writings have been acclaimed by Alan Watts, Irina Tweedie, Jeffrey Kripal, Andrew Harvey, and many others. His book Easy Death was called a “masterpiece” by Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, noted author and pioneer researcher on death and dying.
In a world fractured by conflict and strife, Avatar Adi Da's revelation is profoundly relevant to people of all cultures, faiths, and traditions, because it is the revelation of that which is the bedrock of all religion and spirituality—Consciousness itself, the great Unity in which every being and thing arises. If embraced, such a revelation provides the foundation for true healing and ultimate Divine Liberation.
